Prevent movement related zonal isolation damage due to thermal expansion / contraction forces with the liner or casing when switching between production and injection with the Meta Active Anchor™.
Expansion and contraction of the lower completion due to differences in geothermal, production and stimulation fluid temperatures can cause significant liner movement – up to several feet. The amount of shrinkage depends on the length of the liner, the change in temperature and the mass of the liner. Shrinkage forces can be as much as several hundred tonnes.
Meta Active Anchor™ secures the liner to the formation while it limits contact pressure and is suitable for most types of formation. Using Metalmorphology™ to spread the load along a very large and compliant contact area, the Meta Active Anchor™ provides extremely high anchoring loads without risk to formation damage.
